VM23-AR stakeout screen showing the pole tip 0.003 m from the target, beside a surveyor holding a GNSS pole at sunset

The VM23-AR brings visual guidance to stakeout: instead of working from numbers alone, the surveyor sees on screen where the pole tip needs to land.

How VM23-AR speeds up stakeout

VM23-AR is a vision-assisted module assembly that lets GNSS RTK guide stakeout with augmented reality. It shows the surveyor exactly where the pole tip needs to land. Used with FEYMAN’s tilt modules (IM19/IM23), the integrator’s guide puts the stakeout efficiency gain at 50% or more.

The hardware is a camera unit and an SMT controller unit joined by a 60 mm FPC. The host MCU needs at least one UART port and one USB 2.0 port to connect to both the IM19 and the VM23-AR. A software SDK handles factory calibration and stakeout operations in the field.

What it means in the field

Stakeout comes down to getting the pole tip onto a planned point. With the target shown in the camera view, the next move is easier to see, which also makes the task easier for new field staff to pick up.
