The IM26 is FEYMAN’s newest SMT inertial module. It fuses data from a MEMS accelerometer and gyroscope with GNSS RTK to deliver roll and pitch accurate to 0.02° and heading to 0.1° (RTK aided).
That accuracy makes the IM26 a fit for machine control, robotics, tilt surveys, AHRS and dead reckoning. The module is protected under international patents, including US11409001B2 and CN110017849B.
Key specifications
From the IM26 Hardware Integration Guide, V1.0:
- Attitude (RTK aided): roll / pitch 0.02°, heading 0.1°
- Gyroscope: 1000 deg/s range, 0.1 °/s bias over full temperature, 0.12 deg/√h random walk
- Accelerometer: 16 g range, bias XY 2 mg / Z 5 mg over full temperature
- Interfaces: UART1, UART2 (GNSS), UART3, CAN, 1PPS
- Supply: 3.0 – 3.6 V (3.3 V typ.), 120 – 140 mA
- Module height: 3.4 ± 0.1 mm
See the full IM26 specifications or compare it with other modules.
What’s new compared with the IM19
For teams already integrating the IM19, the IM26 tightens the key figures and adds a CAN interface:
- Roll / pitch: 0.02°, from ±0.05° on the IM19
- Heading: 0.1° (RTK aided), from ±0.5°
- Gyroscope bias: 0.1 °/s, from ±0.2 deg/s
- Accelerometer: 16 g range, from ±8 g, and bias of XY 2 mg / Z 5 mg, from ±5 mg
- Interfaces: CAN alongside the same UART1, UART2 (GNSS), UART3 and 1PPS
The gyroscope range (1000 deg/s), supply voltage (3.0 – 3.6 V) and current consumption (120 – 140 mA) are unchanged. The module is slightly taller, at 3.4 ± 0.1 mm against 3.2 ± 0.1 mm, so check the clearance above it.
